Hi folks, I consider myself very fortunate to live on Long Island, which consists of Nassau and Suffolk County. But in actuality contains Queens County and Kings County (Brooklyn) but those two counties are considered 2 of the 5 Boroughs of New York City. We have world renoun public beach Jones Beach (Nassau Cnty) and world renoun private resort beaches in Montauk (Suffolk Cnty). 20 minutes north or south on your on the shore. Over 200 miles of hiking trails through parks. Depending from where you are 1 to 3 hours to Manhattan for famous Broadway Shows or fantastic Museum of Natural History, Metropolitan Museum of Art, thousands of restaurants representing the various cuisine of the world. So brag about your part of New York !
